The following are updates on a breatharian cult that I came in
contact with...the "Maha Devi Ascension Movement",
which is now being called the "Ananda Health Resort".

The breatharian cult leader, "Maha Devi", and her followers are now on the remote island of Niue in the South Pacific. This cult is particularly dangerous because she appears to have unlimited funds, she recruits desperate people and encourages them to starve themselves in the name of spiritual purity. The numbers in the group fluctuate, but she is gearing up for a mass population, if she can recruit them - several villages of 500 each, according to her plan.
I originally met a member of this cult online, who at first described his environment as a "spiritual retreat". As we got to know each other, he went into more detail. His "leader", Gabrielle Wilson, would only answer to the name "Maha Devi". It was explained that she sought what she termed "rock-bottom" individuals who were ready to distance themselves from worldly attachments...and family. She was seeking people who were at the end of their ropes and giving up on life, selling the idea that she would lead them to a higher spiritual plane.
Every weekend the members of the group would swarm to ready for her visit at Brooktrails lodge in Willits, California. (People with names like Breeze, Ozone, Spirit Light, and Guru Dev).
In the "temple", they would put on special slippers and attend her sessions...she adamantly denied that she was merely "channeling", but that she was, in fact, the incarnation of a deity. All were expected to deeply bow to her then seat themselves around her, lights and videos going. Most of her long-winded sessions center around the topic of Kaliyuga - (which is some kind of apocalypse), and how the members would all be able to "ascend" together with her guidance. Her guidance was the insistance that members go from being vegetarians, to eating raw foods, to just liquids, then eventually to being pure enough to live on "Prana"...thin air. (Oh, and to worship her).
I met one of the members who was thin as a rail, trying to go off of his liquid diet permanently with some prolonged fasting, just to earn her approval...it was frightening.
Gabrielle Wilson is a megalomaniac who seems to have an inexhaustible source of funds. It was a matter of speculation among all the members as to where she was getting her money from. The devotees actually believed she was "manifesting" her wealth...and the fact is, she had rented the whole of Brooktrails Lodge for this little group, and spared no expense on food or whimsical items, singing and art lessons for members...and the original stipend was so generous that a few members absconded, (to her dismay), with enough in their nest eggs to live nicely on their own. One member revealed to me that he was getting some 46,000 a year in the beginning. When I encountered them, the stipend had been reduced to $1500.00 a month for members.
With the bankroll she has, she's quite capable of developing a bigger group...and I feel she'll put gullible people at risk with her goals of breatharianism. I understand that some people have starved to death trying this spiritual practice. This woman wields a dangerous influence.
I have found the group after several of their moves...Gabrielle left Willits with a straggler group and landed in Samoa, but things didn't work out there. From the news stories posted online, it appears that their "cover" was blown by a member who went to the press, and they left Samoa under a cloud of suspicion that they were an undercover cult posing as artists. I emailed a former member about the group's whereabouts, and he replied that she may have "manifested" her own island. (He's still a devout believer. He had once asked Gabrielle to levitate to display her power.) I recently traced her IP address to a remote island in the South Pacific called Niue. Since getting pressured off of Samoa, Gabrielle's group has stopped advertising online for recruits/disciples as the "Maha Devi Ascension Movement" and is now advertising to potential "disciples" as the "Ananda Health Resort" which is soon to be established on her private island of Niue, which is near Samoa.
For now, they have a base in Florida for paperwork to keep the island location a secret;

Jurisdiction/legal status: For privacy's sake we are not disclosing the exact location, size of the island, and jurisdiction of the island at this stage of the application process. The following text is from one of her "divine sessions", which goes into some explanation why we only need food because we haven't become spiritually pure enough to live on the nourishment that the energy in thin air can provide;

Breathing in light, and allowing it to expand, encompassing all our chakras, and merging us with the Source of Life. Guru Dev, Johoshua, Hathor: Mahandra, Lars, Charles, Carl, Christian, Kerry and I would like to invite you. Please come with your healing presence. Our hearts are open. We also invite all of the Ascended Masters of the Holy Tradition, ascended masters, divine beings and angelic beings who feel called to assist us, our Higher Selves, our twin souls and God.
I have Lord Maitreya with us. He presents himself in a form where it took me awhile to identify him, because he is in both aspects, male and female. That means, androgynous. At times I saw his female side, and then at times his more male side. And he wears those sandals that go around your leg and up to the knee and some kind of Roman looking toga. But then he also has long dark hair, and it's very beautiful. Okay. He has come to speak on the topic of male and female energies and their merging, uniting into a higher, more transcendent aspect. All right.
So, we turn our attention to the kundalini energy as it lies dormant, or coiled, at the base chakra of the individual. This kundalini energy, which he wants to call personalized or individualized kundalini energy is, in different individuals, in a more or less dormant state. That means, in individuals who are more object referral and feeling separate from life, the energy is more dormant than in individuals who are more conscious and expanded in their views and more connected to life. In those individuals, the kundalini is more rising and more awakened. And it is pure power. Kundalini energy is prana, is life energy. It's creative energy, with which you create. And this life energy which exists, permeating anything and everything that you can think of or perceive, and beyond.
This life energy (depending on the choices that we make and the journey that you are on) is either decreasing or expanding for your own usage, depending on the direction that you are taking with your choices. And as you make choices for the point value, going into oblivion (that means dis-integrating, or fragmenting yourself), this direction also creates an increasing gap between your individualized life energy and the life energy of the ocean of life that you are a drop of (or depending on your awareness, you perceive yourself as the ocean). Now, going in the direction of the point value, this gap is increasing, which means the gap is your subconscious. You repress your life energy for the sake of experiencing emptiness or weakness, and for the sake of experiencing yourself as an individualized being. But it is the same life force in and around and within you, only that now it has a connotation of separating you from life itself by being bound and repressed and distorted in your subconscious. That means, you turn your attention away from life, and so it falls dormant for you.
Now, this kundalini energy, your base chakra, roots you to the Earth, or to the planet that you presently live on, as a gateway to go through the decisions that you made against life that connect you to this planet. There is a certain amount of agreement that makes you subject and dependent on the laws of a certain accumulated point in the nervous system of all that is. And this accumulated point is a planet or a solar system or a galaxy, depending on your perspective. Let's take the planet that you live on. It becomes your magnetic pull for your own individualized kundalini energy, because the planet bears a lot of the subconscious tendencies that you repressed in yourself that separate you from experiencing the ocean of life. So, in order to come back to feeling the fullness of life, you will have to reintegrate the karma of the planet, the solar system, the galaxy and the system beyond, before you can feel the continuum and the infinity of the ocean of life again and merge with the cosmic kundalini energy, which is ever present.
So, you as a being, with your energy centers, are connected with the superconscious realm through your higher chakras, especially your crown chakra. Your crown chakra is either an inverted or extroverted fountain that allows the higher cosmic (that means the universal life energy) to either flow into you and nourish you, or in most people on your planet, the crown chakra is inverted. It is drawing more energy out of your own system, rather than being able to draw energy from around you and be open to ingest the pranic energy as it permeates and pervades everything. So, most souls on your planet are not able to ingest the universal pranic energy. Their focus is on nourishing themselves from matter, substance of the planet. And it is a degenerative cycle, where the food of the planet and your ability to take in the pranic energy in the food, are continuously depleting themselves, in order for the experience of the point value to take place in you, as in going in the direction of Kali Yuga, the spiritual winter season, that certain systems go through......Now, the higher chakras (especially the crown chakra) being open enough to connect you with the universal pranic energy, is a process of awakening your spiritual powers, your connectedness, your ability to experience Unity consciousness and is synchronistic with the awakening of your individualized kundalini energy in your base chakra and the reintegration of your karma with the planet that you live on. That means, as you reintegrate your own dark side, you become more able to inhale and partake of the universal energy that is ever-present that most of you are not able to partake of, because your energy channels have gotten to a place of impurity. So, this phenomenon that you experience as individualized people is that you feel separate from the ocean of life. And in you there is a dualism, a polarity of your own individualized kundalini energy and its state of dormancy and the availability of the universal prana that you are capable of partaking of, to a greater or lesser extent, depending on your attachments to a certain level of duality, of inner and outer subject and object.
With the same measure that you focus on the outside world, this is what determines your frequency. If you are very attached to the outside and give more credibility to it than to your own creative forces, if you are very absorbed in your creation, then you fall onto a lower level of polarity, of dualism. And that lower frequency is marked by a greater amount of subconscious that separates you from being the ocean of life.

what i can tell you is that maha devi is a holder of a lineage from the mahareshi aryveda,
that stems from the transcedental medation movement...
although she does not Teach T.M. , SHE formed her own personal school,
(the eternal spring school of life) and in my time, was actively seeking disciples...
her current goals are undisclosed to me right now...
if you do decide that you want to join, i will say this...
you must really understand why... and communicate that to her...
you must really understand why... you are willing to surrender to her as a master...
you must really understand what the right reasons are for you to dissovle all your worldy attachements ...
and I mean completely...before you can understand what those right reasons are...
and then communcate those reasons to her...
and then,,, you must understand and stand ready, unflinching in the dramatic ways she will change your life....
yeah even in ways that you might not like or even desire...
even so, your higher self will come out brighter and even more glorious that before....
unless you cling to your lower self,, otherwise, you will most assureingly self destruct...
it is a complete ascesion path....
the body, spirit and mind are purifed all at once....
whether your ready or not...
it can be painfull, gut wrenchedly beautiful, a tradjic joy to say the least.

The story began late in 2002, when the resort was approached by an
organization in northern California that purportedly specialized in
organizing painting vacations. It wanted to rent the whole resort for an
entire year. An advance party arrived, and Samoan television cameras
turned up to film the artists at work, but it soon became clear that painting
was not their primary activity.
The true nature of the group began to emerge only when one member, Duane
Reed, broke away and spilled the beans to a local newspaper. He identified
the leader of the group as an apparently wealthy German woman named
Gabrielle, who claims she is divine, and, according to Reed, is "the highest
source of God on the planet...an immortal being from Atlantis and Lemuria
who has the capabilities of building pyramids and turning people into God."
The discovery of a verbose Web site dedicated to the theology of the Maha
Devi Ascension Movement made it abundantly clear that the innocent little
resort of Sinalei had, in effect, been hijacked by a religious cult of the most
outrageous pretension.
Sadly for the owners of the resort, it was not until January that the cult's
last stragglers left, by which time most of the resort's regular clientele had
disappeared. The Sinalei finally resumed normal operations this September.

Group rumoured to be a cult leaves Samoa

A group living at a resort in Samoa, and which became embroiled in
controversy after claims it was a religious cult, is reported to have left the
country.
The group was supposed to have leased the Sinalei resort for 12 months but
the Samoa Observer says it had gone after six months.
The owner of the hotel, Folasaitu Joe Annandale, has declined to give an
explanation for the group's early departure.
The group had gone to the resort seeking an "atmosphere ideal for
creativity" but a group member who left early claimed in a newspaper
interview last month that their practices were questionable.
Duane Reed said they were part of a cult called the Maha Devi Ascension
Movement.
The claims had been denied by the group, the resort management and the
Samoa Government.
The Government revealed that an Interpol check cleared the group's
identity and showed they were artists as claimed.
